Award Ceremony organised at Ramgarhia Girls College

Legal Literacy Club and Youth Club of Ramgarhia Girls College, Jalandhar organising an award ceremony in association with Swami Vivekanand Study Circle to observe National Youth Day on Saturday.

Ludhiana, January 25, 2014: Legal Literacy Club and Youth Club of Ramgarhia Girls College organised an award ceremony in association with Swami Vivekanand Study Circle to observe National Youth Day on Saturday.

Swami Vivekanand Study Circle is a philanthropic organisation that aims to promote the venerated ideals of Swami Vivekanand. It endeavours to instill the thoughts and ideals of the great philosopher in the young minds and help them to become better human beings. The organisation felicitates the meritorious students from various fields every year.

Principal, Dr. Narinder Sandhu along with Sh. C. S. Talwar, IAS Retd., Secretary, Red Cross, Punjab, Dr. Asdhir, Prof. Vinay Sophat, Mrs. Chandra Prashad Soi, President and Dr. Sanjeev Dawar, Secretary, Swami Vivekanand Study Circle welcomed the Chief Guests, Parul, PCS, Judiciary and Stanzin Dawa, Programme Manager, Youth Programme-Asia Centre, Chandigarh. The event kicked off with the recitation of the shabad and it was followed with the lamp lighting ceremony by the dignitaries.

In her welcome address, Principal, Dr. Narinder Sandhu spoke highly about the organisation that has undertaken the pious task of disseminating the thoughts of Swami Vivekanand and said that the young generation, smitten by the present day youth icons, should also benefit from the philosophy of this distinguished philosopher.

In his keynote address, C. S. Talwar familiarised the gathering with the objectives of this organisation and he also shed light on the importance of National Youth Day. He said that by imbibing the values of Swami Vivekanand’s philosophy, one can work towards the betterment of the society. Awards and certificates were given to the outstanding students across Punjab by the Principal, Chief Guests and the Office Bearers. The Principal and the Office Bearers honoured the eminent Chief Guests.
