Jalandhar, February 1, 2014: Dr Sucharita, Principal, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar was felicitated by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar for her outstanding contribution in promoting cultural activities amongst the youth.
Dr Sucharita received the honour from the Vice Chancellor, Dr A.S. Brar and Dr H.C. Bernhard Blumich, eminent scientist from Germany who presided over the Honouring Ceremony. Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director, Youth Welfare Department, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar was also present on the occasion.
Dr Brar lauded Dr Sucharita’s commendable efforts in grooming her college students to excel in the Youth Festival at Inter Zonal Level. An overwhelmed Dr Sucharita remarked that such honours help to keep up her spirit of hard work and dedication. She modestly added that participation of youth in such cultural activities helps channelizing their bubbling energy in a positive and right direction; which is in fact, the need of the hour.
