International Women ‘s Day being celebrated in Regional Group of Colleges, Behman Diwana (Bathinda) on Saturday.
Talwandi Sabo, March 8, 2014: International Women ‘s Day was celebrated in Regional Group of Colleges, Behman Diwana (Bathinda). The students participated in the events like Poster Making, Collage making, Slogan writing , Mehendi, Rangoli with full enthusiasm and fervor. A Declamation contest was also organized on “Inspiring Change-for Women”.
Chief guest Dr. Narinder Singh Director (Finance), Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo shared his valuable views regarding the equal status of women in the society. Principal Mr. Manoj Baghla of Polytecnic college and Principal Mrs. Namrata Goyal of Degree college shared the importance of this day with the students.
In Poster Making Mandeep Singh (ME 6th Sem.) got 1st position. Meenu (C.S.E 4th Sem.) achieved 2nd position & Nisha (C.S.E.6th Sem.) got 3rd Position.
In Collage making Gopal ( Civil 2nd Sem.) was the winner.
In Slogan Writing Competition Swati Bansal( IT 4th Sem.) got the first prize, Gurmail Singh( ME.6th Sem) was Second & Mohit Kumar (ME 2nd Sem.) got Third Position.
In Mehandi Competition Nisha , Reetu & Aarti got 1st 2nd & 3rd positions, respectively.
In Rangoli Competition Rajwinder, Amandeep ,Sumandeep came with flying colours.
In Declamation Alinpreet, Kanika,Sarbjeet excelled in the field.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Narinder Singh distributed the prizes and encouraged the participants with an inspiring speech.
