Jalandhar, March 13, 2014: `Hostel Night’- a cultural programme was organised at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. College Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra was the Chief Guest.
The students first recited Shabad Gurbani followed by Lord Shiv Dance, Choreography, Western Matchup, Rajasthan Dance, Himachal Folk Dance, Laughter programme, Bhagra was organised by the Hostel Students.
Dr Gurpinder Singh Samara Principal said that he is delighted to see the performance of the Hostel students as apart from studies they are taking active parts in Sports and Cultural Programmes. He said that in the present arena females are much ahead in education as compared to the males for which he praised the girls. He said that in the merit list of the University the number of females is much more than the males.
Hostel warden Reeta Jadhial thanked all the guests. Prof Suriender Kaur, Dr Kulwant Singh Sandhu, Prof Jasreen Kaur, Prof Sarita Tewari, Prof Ahuja Sandeep, Prof Tarsem Singh and Prof Mansi Chopra were present.
