Jalandhar, March 15, 2014: Social Sensitisation Society organised a multi-purpose function to focus the festival of colours Holi and to campaign for enrolling and casting of votes and protection of rights of consumers on the International Consumers Day today.
Awareness was created among the students and general public to celebrate the popular festival in a safe and environment friendly manner. Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar principal Dr G.S Samra advised the student to understand the true spirit of festival of colours by promoting harmonious relationship among all sections of society.
Since March 15 is International Consumers Day, so the students should imbibe and develop critical awareness about all these things that they use and consume “Jago Grahak Jago” exhorted the convener Social Sensitisation Society Prof. Sarita Tewari.
The function was attented by large number of students, teaching and non-teaching staff.
