CT Group of Institutes organises ‘Ignite-14’

CT Group of Institutes, Jalandhar on Wednesday organising ‘Ignite-14’.

Jalandhar, March 26, 2014: With the tag line ‘Career Begins here’ to present their aspirations towards students, CT Group of Institutions organises ‘Ignite-14’ on the premises of CT institute of Engineering Management and Technology (CTIEMT), Shahpur today.

The event was inaugurated by Technical head of IBM, Mani Madhukar Chairman of CT Group of Institutions Charanjit Singh Channi and Group Director, Dr Manoj Kumar.

The department of Computer Applications has organised this event in which as many as 15 colleges across the Punjab participated in the event.

In this festival for awareness, there were events arranged for the students in three different categories including technical events, Arts events and Cultural events.

In the technical category, there were events like technical paper presentation, Web Mania, GK Quiz, LAN Gaming while in arts events included Mehndi, Rangoli and Poster Making. In third category of Cultural events, students were given chance to explore and present their talents in Group or Solo Dance, Group or Solo Singing and Skit.

Showing the best of their skills and after bagging positions in different events, DAV College Jalandhar won the overall trophy. The first runner of the event Lyallpur Khalsa College and CT Group of Institutes secured the second runner trophy.

Motivating the students in the felicitation ceremony after the multiple events, Chairman Charanjit Singh Channi said that the students have got the ample chance to explore themselves and come out as flying colors. Group Director, Dr Manoj Kumar also advised students to always remain on the front foot in exploring the best of their capabilities.  Dr. Manoj Kumar said, “The basic motive behind the event to provide a platform to the students to explore their inherent talent and won the higher laurels of their life. The competitions infuse a power to fight and also help them to maintain a sportsmanship spirit among them.”
