Workshop for Pre-Wing Teachers held at DIPS School Urban Estate-I

Jalandhar, March 27, 2014: Workshop for Pre-Wing Teachers was held at DIPS School Urban Estate-I, Jalandhar. Some seventy teachers from different schools of DIPS Chain of Institutions attended it.

Monika Mehta, Primary Wing Adviser at DERDB was the resource person. Emphasis was laid on the need for teachers to make their knowledge upto date and to effect all round development of their personalities. They were urged to adopt innovative pedagogies methods to remove the inhibitions of the young learners and to increase their self-confidence. Special stress was laid on the need to have correct pronunciation and to use child friendly vocabulary. Teaching aids like charts, flash cards, models and recorded material should be made an integral part of the primary teaching. Teachers were also asked to become techno savvy to be able to face the future challenges

Gurbachan Singh, Chairman DIPS Chain, Monica Mandotra, CEO and Gulshan Gakhar were also present and gave some valuable tips for being effective teachers.
