Jalandhar, March 27, 2014: Police DAV Public School organised `Brian Power Service’ seminar in the school premises today. Speaking on the occasion, Brain Power Services Pvt Ltd’s Counselor Dilbagh Singh spoke on ADHD (Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder). He gave detailed lecture on the students’ mental ability. He added role of the parents and teachers is more important. He stressed that “we should have positive attitude towards the children.”
Singh revealed that almost 5 per cent to 8 per cent of students are facing the mental deficiency. He said proper diagnose in the initial stage is not feasible due to the lack of awareness and education. He opined that cartoon programmes, media and internet have created deficiency in the mental ability of the children. He added parents, teachers and healthy environment can change the mindset of the children.
Singh also replied to the questions asked by the teachers.
The school principal Dr Rashmi Vij also spoke.
