CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM), Jalandhar on Monday observe International Nursing Day at Sacred Heart Hospital, Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, May 12, 2014: To commemorate the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, who is widely considered the founder of modern nursing, CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM) observed International Nursing Day at Sacred Heart Hospital, Jalandhar.
Students of CTIHM along with faculty members and nuns assemble at Sacred Heart Hospital. The occasion was chaired by Sr Celine, Nursing Superintendent, Sr Grace Boomkudy and Dr Lyla, Medical Superintendent also graced the occasion.
The event lasted for two hours; it started with prayer followed by speech from Head of Sacred heart hospital. There was also cake cutting ceremony in the remembrance of Florence Nightingale and the cake was distributed to all the patients of the hospital.
A speech on the contribution of nurses for the development of society was given by Rohit Sarin, Principal, CTIHM. Holy verses from bible were also chanted at the occasion by all the nuns, students, and faculty members of CTIHM. The occasion ended with thanks giving to all the nurses who sacrificed their life for the society.
A sumptuous snacks and, juices were prepared by CTIHM students for the nuns.
