Ludhiana, May 17, 2014: Annual Function of Ludhiana Group of Colleges Polytechnic, Chaukimann concluded with many colourful cultural performances by the students. The proceedings of the programme began with the lighting of traditional lamp followed by religious song and the presentation of various cultural items.
Chief Guest on the occasion was chairman of the college, Brijpal Singh Sachdeva while Guest of Honor was Sukhwinder Singh Sangha. The entire students, faculty and staff welcomed the chief guest and Guest of Honor. Chief Guest and Guest of Honor showed his gratitude towards the institute and further said, “Participation in extra-curricular activities is must with studies for a student which will help him in the overall development of the personality. This will help him to lead a successful life in future.’’ They advised the students to draw inspiration and benefit themselves from the rich educational environment of the institution in order to attain excellence in the area of teacher education.
The main attraction of the Annual Function was its cultural program. The students were awarded with prizes for their valuable national and international achievements during the program. The audience was revitalized listening to the mellifluous songs sung by the students. Further in the program, students presented various items like Solo Dance, Drama, Songs and group dance on the Punjabi Songs which was highly applauded by the audience. Students also presented Bhangra and Gidha making the atmosphere more colorful. Students showcased their extraordinary talent by participating in singing and dancing competition making the atmosphere pleasant.
Along with these performances the students were also awarded with prizes & mementoes for their participation and contribution in various sports, study and cultural activities round the year. The prizes & mementoes were distributed to students by Management Rajeev Gulati, Vikram Grover, Principal of LGC polytechnic, M.S Dhaliwal, Director (Coordination) J.S Suden and Administrative Officer Amandeep Tangri.
During on it, the Management, Principal Dr. Dev Raj and Director J.K Chawla encouraged to students for this. They promised that these kind of activities would be organised in the future and also will be rectified the personality of students. The staff and faculty of the college had given their entire corporation in this function.
