Ludhiana News/Student suffering from Cerebral Palsy honoured at GNDECLudhiana, July 17, 2014: Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC), Ludhiana introduced a student Jaswinder Singh Sodhi to Society in a press conference held in the premises of the college today.
Dr. Balkar Singh Director Colleges PTU Jalandhar, Dr. Manohar Singh Saini, Director of the College, Dr.S.S.Gill ( Dean Admin.), Dr.(Prof.) Rupinder Singh, Dean (Academics), Dr.Parminder Singh, HOD(CSE), Dr.K.S.Mann, Dean (T&P)  & parents of the student Dr.R.S.Sodhi (Ortho) & Dr. Neelam Sodhi, were present.
On behalf of the Management, Staff & students of the College, Dr.Saini accorded a hearty welcome to the Chief Guest Dr.Balkar Singh on behalf of Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Vice-Chancellor, PTU & the other distinguished Guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest stated, “There are some valiant people, who set high standards of achievements despite being physically disabled. It is a great achievement for any person to perform extraordinary acts but it is even more so when this is done despite a terrible disability. ”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr.Saini, Director of the college stated, “Teachers of the college & other staff members provided maximum possible assistance to Jaswinder Singh & we are proud that he  has been able to achieve his goal of becoming a Computer Science Engineer with 72.3% through our college. We congratulate him & his family members & wish him good luck for his future endeavours.”
