Students participate in Investiture Ceremony at RGC, Ludhiana.
Jalandhar, August 2, 2014: Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana organised its first general assembly in the college auditorium to mark the commencement of the new academic session 2014-15.
The event started with staff introduction and was followed by investiture ceremony of the members of Central Students Association. University topper, Navroop Kaur was appointed its Secretary. Satinder Kaur of B.A. III was selected as Head Girl of the college and Jaspreet Kaur of B. Com. III as Deputy Head Girl. The other members of CSA were also allocated their duties. Principal, Dr. Narinder Sandhu appreciated the efforts of the incharges of Central Students Association, Rajeshwarpal Kaur and Tajinder Kaur, for preparing a competent team for the new session that will play an instrumental role in maintaining discipline and decorum in the campus. Ranjodh Singh, President and Jagtar Singh, Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council also acknowledged the contribution of CSA in the smooth functioning of the college activities.
The occasion was also marked by a lecture on “Disease free body, stress free mind” by Dr. Gurinder Singh Sandhu (BAMS, MD) from H. B. O. Group. He apprised the students and staff of the benefits of naturopathy for treating various diseases and emphasised the importance of alternative medicines and changes in lifestyle for battling numerous ailments. The assembly in-charge, Jaspaul Kaur thanked Dr. Gurinder Sandhu for his informative talk and also urged the students to follow the rules and regulations of the college and foster an ambience of discipline and harmony. The event culminated with recitation of the National Anthem.
