DIPSIANS visit old age home on senior citizens day at Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, August 8, 2014: On the eve of senior citizens day, students of golden section from DIPS-Suranussi visited the old age home situated near. A small effort was made by these young children to make this neglected section of our society, feel special and happy.
Students presented patriotic songs, dance and poems for their entertainment. On this occasion, sweets, biscuits, fruits and clothes were also distributed among them. The old ones shared their feelings with the school children and felt as if they are sitting among their own children who have forgotten their parents long ago. Through this visit students were told the importance of the elderly people and also to respect & care for them always.
School principal Bela Kapoor appreciated the students for their effort and told them to always respect the old people as they are like roots without which a plant can never survive. so always love, care and respect your parents as well as grandparents.
