The Literary and Dramatics Club of AIMTC organises series of literary competitions

Jalandhar, August 23, 2014: Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus has set up 'The Literary and Dramatics Club' with the objective of providing a platform to students to exhibit their literary and theatre interests. It aims at developing creativity, confidence and communication skills of students through various activities like Poetical Symposium, Creative Writing , Debate, Declamation, Elocution, Extemporaneous Speaking, Role Playing, Enactment, Street Plays, Skits, Dramatic Monologues, News Reading Contests etc.

The club organised a series of literary competitions for students of various classes. The events included 'Flash Mob- Present Yourself', 'Medley- Sing about Your Self' and fun activities like ' The Grapevine Game', 'The Bollywood Decaprio', 'The Reincarnated Me'. The activities aimed at encouraging the students to express their opinions, showcase their command over and fluency in English language, build their confidence and have fun. In Medley- Sing About Your Self, Sumit Ranu,   Movina and Harpreet Kaur, all of of MBA I bagged first, second and third position respectively. In Flash Mob the team of both Karandeep Kaur of MBA I and  Gurjant Singh notched first position.

The club will function under the guidance of Director Dr. Rajesh Bagga. Dr. Bagga said that the club is formed to help the students improve and hone their Public Speaking Skills and writing prowess. He added that good speaking skills are imperative for bagging lucrative jobs. This club is set up to chisel such skills of the students.
