Ludhiana, September 1, 2014: Dr Kanav Kahol, inventor of “Swasthya Slate” delivered an expert talk on Public health issues in India and gave a demonstration of his invention at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana.
The “Swasthya Slate” is a powerful device that allows Android Tablets and Phones to conduct 33 diagnostic tests on the mobile device. This device offers low cost solution to health care related problems. It is a big revolution in healthcare sector especially for rural and remote areas where doctors are not available.
Dr. Sandeep Singh Gill, Head of Department (ECE) delivered welcome address. Dr. M.S. Saini, Director, GNDEC appreciated the talk as Dr. Kanav Kahol, being the alumni of this college and faculty of Arizona State University, USA, has done recommendable work in healthcare with the use of technology. Faculty Members and students of GNDEC, as well as the faculty members from other college attended this expert talk.
