CT Group of Institutions at Jalandhar on Monday organising Health Camps for its staff and residents of rural areas.
Jalandhar, September 1, 2014: CT Group of Institutions organises a health camp under the supervision of specialists from Civil Hospital & Indian Medical Association, Jalandhar Branch at its Shahpur campus.
The camp was organised for its attendants & sanitation services staff & their families and also for the residents of rural areas in its surroundings. More than 500 patients were benefitted from the camp for their wellness. Medical officer, faculty, staff & students from CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CTIPS) have organised a workshop simultaneously and tested the blood of patients for basic parameters like hemoglobin contents, ESR, hematogram etc. Many of ageing staff have benefited by their eye check up for glaucoma, cataract & vision. They were also provided consultation for their treatment.
Dr. Sushma Chawla, President, IMA- Jalandhar Branch said that as many as 40 percent of people have been suffering from TB, its treatment is free at Government hospitals. She said, “People are not taking its benefit as there is less awareness among the people about it” and Dr. Gagandeep Singh from Civil Hospital, Jalandhar have appreciated this societal contribution from the CT Institutions. He assured of organising such medical camps with CT Group of Institutions in future as well.
Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman of CT Group of Institutions assured of such activities from the group in societal welfare and quality in demonstrable education even in future also like before. He also recognised the skill and efforts made by the students, staff of Pharmacy and Medical laboratory Sciences departments of CTIPS.
On this event Dr. Rajeshwari and Dr. Ramandeep from Chawla Nursing Home & Dr Sandeep Tomar and Dr. Amandeep, Eye Specialists from Arora Eye Hospital have given their valuable consultation to the patients and the medicines were distributed free of cost.
