TEACHERS Union burns Punjab Education Minister’s effigy

The Education Provider Teacher’s Union, Fazilka Unit registers their protest for demand of regularisation of their services, by burning the effigy of Education Minister.

Fazilka,  April 4, 2013: The Education Provider Teacher’s Union, Fazilka Unit registered their protest for demand of regularisation of their services, by burning the effigy of Education Minister at Shaheed Udham Singh Park, under the leadership of District President, Jinder Pilot and shouted slogans against the anti-teachers policies adopted by the Punjab Government and Education Minister.

Addressing the protestors, Pilot said, on the one hand the proposal to regularise the services of Education Provider Teachers  as per the decisions taken in the meeting with the Chief Minister, DGSE, Elementary and Cabinet, while on the other hand, Sikandar Singh Malooka, Education Minister, Punjab has given a statement to put a condition of clearing the teacher ability test (TET) compulsory.

The President further said, as per the mutual and amicable settlement, the ETT teachers should be regularised without any condition otherwise they will be compelled to intensify their agitation against Education Minister, Punjab.

On this occasion, Raj Singh, district cashier, Surinder Pal, block cashier, Sukhwinder Singh, Baljit Singh, Mangat Ram, Gurmail Singh block president Jalalabad, Bhupinder Kaur, Jasvir Kaur, Manjinder Kaur and others also addressed the protestors.
