New International students welcomed to PCTE Group of Institutes

PCTE Group of Institutes at Ludhiana on Tuesday organising International Fresher’s Day with party, DJ, music, games and dancing.

Ludhiana, September 30, 2014: Seventy Five new International students were welcomed to PCTE Group of Institutes at International Fresher’s Day with party, DJ, music, games and dancing. After adding the new 75, there are 230 international students from 26 different countries studying at PCTE campus. Amidst this gala of events, they were addressed by Balumuene Nkuna Francois, Ambassador of Democratic Republic of Congo to India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Sri Lanka. He said they had half the world come together right here at PCTE, and they should make the best of it. The friends mean trade, opportunities, and lifelong friendship. He encouraged them to bond with each other.
He is 14th Ambassador to talk to PCTEians under His Excellency Series. Vincent representing Hungary spoke to students about the culture of Central Europe.
Students from five new countries namely Colombia, Papua New Guinea, Syria, Yemen and Ghana, and two new continents Australia and Latin America joined PCTE, informed Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes. He said that about 45 students graduated this year. International students from Macedonia, Kyrgyzstan, South Africa, Namibia, Burundi, South Sudan, Bhutan, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Afghanistan, Cameroon, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Lesotho, Angola, Nigeria, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Congo Brazzaville, DRC were already studying at PCTE.
Dr. Kang said that “the presence of International students in the institute builds up the morale of the Indian national students as well. To be at international global level one can groom oneself by having diverse opinions within the classroom, henceforth providing immense exposure to the students at large. Having International students have made PCTE go global.
