Anchal Sharma selected for Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth Programme

Jalandhar, October 10, 2014: It is a proud moment for Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar that one of the students Anchal Sharma of class XII Commerce has been selected for Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth Programme (JENESYS) by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt.of India and sponsored by Govt of Japan. This is the first batch from India to visit Japan from November 10 to 18.

The objective of the JENESYS programme is to deepen mutual understanding among young people and to lay foundation for future bond among the youths in Asian and Oceania countries along with mutual understanding and friendship. The programme is meant to establish basis of Asia’s stalwart solidarity through various exchange programmes. It also aims at exchange of art, history and culture of Asian Countries and Japan.

The selection criteriafor JENESYS was that the student should be academically excellent along with being outstanding at various co curricular activities, especially in the field of Art and History.

Anchal Sharma will have a home stay programme at one of the homes of a Japanese family. She will also get a chance to visit some schools of Japan and exchange Education system of both the countries.

Principal Madhu Sharma congratulated the student for this glorious achievement and wished her success for this great venture.
