Jalandhar, October 17, 2014: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar has organised Diwali Mela from October 17 to 19 in Virsa Vihar, Jalandhar. This Mela was inaugurated by Kamal Kishore Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar today.
The students of the College have put up an impressive display of artifacts and textiles. The array of products range from candle stands, candles, diyas, wall clocks, paintings, wall hangings, lamp shades and other decorative items to exclusive designer suits, sarees, stoles, kurtas and bed covers.
The Principal Dr. Sucharita said that the Diwali Mela is attracting a lot of people from the city as it is offering them an opportunity to indulge in pre diwali shopping. The Mela has also given a platform to the students to gauge the taste of the public and market their creative skills, she said.
