HIS EXCELLENCIES: Gen. Alison Monani Magaya delivers lecture at PCTE

Gen. Alison Monani Magaya, Minister of Internal Affairs, Republic of South Sudan in India and Ambassador Deepak Vohra, presently Advisor to South Sudan Government deliveres a talk to students at PCTE Group of Institutes at Ludhiana on Thursday.

Ludhiana, January 24, 2013: Gen. Alison Monani Magaya, Minister of Internal Affairs, Republic of South Sudan in India and Ambassador Deepak Vohra, presently Advisor to South Sudan Government delivered a talk to students at PCTE group of Institutes here today. 

It was sixth lecture delivered under Lecture series “Your Excellency” of PCTE. In the series “His Excellencies” of various countries are invited to deliver talk to PCTE students and to share their countries heritage, culture and various economic, political and social aspects of business environment.

Dr. K. N .S. Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of institutes, academicians and eminent dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

Gen. Alison Monani Magaya, while  addressing the students  talked about south Sudan, its independence, cultural heritage ,economic and political structure of the country.

He quoted that powers of the world are shifting from west to south Asian countries. Today, it’s not the weapon power which will drive the world, but its economic and financial strength of the countries which will govern the rules of successful countries.

He also stresses upon the need of safe and healthy environment for the world to live.

He said that future of the world will be guided by the youth of the countries.

Ambassador also said that  building a strong and viable institutions of governance based on legal frameworks, building economies, promoting banking sector, trade investment, are the major challenges that south Sudan  is facing.

He further said that Science and Technology are the key instruments that will help  the power houses of the world to unite and work together. He also advocated the role of Indian and Africa as emerging markets for the western countries.

Dr K.N.S. Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said that It’s a great opportunity for Young students to understand the potential of doing business globally while listening to various Ambassadors/Ministers.

Dr. Kang while highlighting the commitment of the college to get global said that PCTE at present has more than 120foreign students and threefull time faculty members  teaching PCTE students from 20 countries.  He added that four students from France  have also joined  in the current session in Business Management Course.
