WORKSHOP on Adobe Photoshop and Oracle at KCW concludes

Ludhiana, June 14, 2013: The department of computer science and applications of Khalsa College for Women, Ludhiana organised a valedictory function to culminate one month summer training workshop which commenced in the month of May, 2013. 

A total 118 students undertook training in the subjects of Adobe Photoshop and Oracle. The training was imparted by Daisy Wadhwa, Amritpreet Kaur, Shikha Arora, Prabhjeet Kaur. The syllabus for training was characterised by latest and advanced techniques related to the field of computer aided designing and Database management.

The main aim of this training workshop was to hone the programming and designing skills of the students. The training focused both on the theoretical aspect of the software development as well as on practical exposure which are essential for a successful career as a software engineer. The training involved comprehensive project work to prepare students to apply their knowledge to a wide variety of real world problems and to produce efficient and effective solutions.

A Power-point presentation, presented by the students to showcase the skills they had acquired through this workshop, was highly appreciated by the audience.

The Principal of the college, Dr. Varinder Kaur Thind, was the Chief Guest of the function. She spoke about various job opportunities available in the fields of Graphics designing and Database Administration. She exhorted students to keep themselves updated with the latest in the field of Information technology. She applauded the efforts of the staff members of the Computer Science department for organising the training workshop. She presented certificates to the students and wished them success for their future.
