Chandigarh, July 9, 2013: The Punjab Education Department has directed the District Education Officers to ensure that information regarding vacant posts should be displayed outside their offices so that any teacher should not face harassment for getting this information. Besides this, they have also been asked to get the information updated on regular basis.
Disclosing this here today, a spokesman of the Education Department categorically said that if any transfer could not be implemented due to any wrong entry, the responsibility of the erring employee would be fixed to initiate departmental action against him. He also made it clear that while implementing any transfer in a primary school, it should be ensured that the school might have left with two teachers as in case of single teacher the transfer would be cancelled.
