Ludhiana, July 11, 2013: Technical Education Qualification Improvement Programme (TEQIP)-II of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College Ludhiana organised a workshop on First Aid for its Attendants & Security Staff.
Dr. J.N.Jha TEQIP- Coordinator accorded a warm welcome to the resource persons Jagdeep singh Cluster Leader Ludhiana and Rajneesh Cluster Trainer from Ziqitza Health Care Limited (ZHL). This programme called FRP (First Responder Program) is being run by Ziqitza Health Care Limited which operates 108 Ambulance Service across Punjab.
The resource persons from ZHL educated the college staff that how they can help someone at the time of any Emergency. In this Program they covered how to handle emergencies during Road Accident, Burn Cases, Bleeding,Electric shock, Fracture, Snake Bite, Animal Bite, Heart Attack, etc.
The training –cum-demonstration was given by the experts from ZHL. The workshop was held for attendants and security Staff in which more than 8o staff members participated.
The function was graced by Dr. (Prof.) S. S. Gill Nodal Officer TEQIP-II and S. S. Arora event Coordinator. Dr. Saini, Director of the college thanked the resource persons for conducting the said workshop for the benefit of the staff of the college. Speaking on the occasion he stated, “ This workshop on First aid will definitely aid our staff to determine and treat life threatening conditions & injuries.”
