Jalandhar, July 13, 2013: Students of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar will stand to gain substantially with US University Collaborations.
Earlier, in 2012, KMV-Chatham University, USA had signed an MOU under which KMV students are already having joint projects with students from Chatham University, Pittsburg. During KMV Principal, Dr Atima Sharma’s June visit to Chatham University, the two institutions have agreed to go ahead with various programmes and joint ventures which will provide quality education of global standards and many opportunities to the students.
The partnership will broadly include Student Exchange Programmes.
• Faculty led short term study abroad programmes.
• Developing collaborative community engagement projects.
• Co-teaching of courses on selective topics by faculty.
• Lectures through video conferencing.
Most importantly, the college will soon announce collaborative degree and certificate programmes with Chatham University, Pittsburg, USA.
It may be mentioned that a joint Indo-US project for 14 students is already in progression in KMV. Students of both Chatham University and KMV are exchanging views on a blog also, created specially for this collaboration. Dr Atima Sharma averred that KMV aims to develop global citizens and for that high quality of education is being provided through such initiatives.
