Chandigarh, August 5, 2013: The Punjab government is all set to have a common interactive web portal for all the industrial technical institutes (it is) in the state. This web portal would provide every kind of information like the new trades, availability of facilities and faculty in each ITI.
Stating this here today, Anil Joshi, Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister, Punjab said that the students would be able to get every kind of information regarding ITIs sitting in their homes by the click of mouse. He said that the students would also evaluate their performance in training by using the special designed format of this web site. He said that any students looking forward to get admission in ITI would get every information on this portal including the availability of trades and facility members for that trade. The Minister said that this website would also enable the technical education department to monitor the day to day activities of the ITIs across the State. He said that this common website portal is as per the approved format of DGE&T, National Council of Vocational Training and is being designed by National Informatics Centre, (NIC) Punjab.
