Ferozepur, August 6, 2013: District Magistrate, Manjit Singh Narang, Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur has put a blanket ban on students election and formation of Students Union in RSD College, Ferozepur City during the academic session 2013-14.
Narang said, the Principal of the college has informed to him that there are number of groups among about 2,500 students in the college, who wants to form a students’ union under the political influence. The principal has further said that the atmosphere in the college is not appropriate for conducting of students’ election.
He further said, “To maintain the law and order situation in the college campus, a blanket ban has been put on students election and formation of union during 2013-14 academic session”.
