Students of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines, Ludhiana celebrate Basant with great fervor on Friday.

Ludhiana, February 15, 2013: The students of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT), civil lines celebrated Basant with great fervor here today.
Colorful kites, beautiful flowers, students clad in yellow dresses, cool breeze, foot tapping numbers sumptuous snacks and wonderful ambience marked the beginning of Basant celebration at GGNIMT.
The host for the event Sharanpreet Kaur and Harmanjit Kaur of MCA 2nd semester extended a warm welcome and highlighted the historical outlook and significance of Basant. This was followed by a brilliant group dance performance by the girls of BCA 4th semester. The dance presentations put up by the students of MCA 4th and BCA 6th won many accolades. Melodies songs by Dilsher Singh of MBA 4th and Jaspreet Kaur of MCA 4 created magic in the air.
The event witnessed a series of musical and dance events where boys and girls participated with great enthusiasm. Events of Dance to the Tune, dramatics, musical riddles, tongue twisters, one minute fun games and others were thoroughly enjoyed by the students.
The fun races: Lemon race, hurdle race, 3-legged race , sack race and tug of war were the star attraction of the day. These events displayed the strength and sheer enthusiasm of the students.
RESULTS:
The Students of MBA 4th semester were declared the winners of TUG OF WAR.
Bhramjot Singh of MBA 4th sem and Manpreet Kaur Cheema of MCA 2nd were adjudged Mr. and Ms. Basant, respectively.
Nitin of BBA 4th Sem and Parminder of BCA 6th Semester were delaclared Mr. and Ms. Well Dressed respectively.
Prof Gunwant Singh Dua, Co-ordinator ,GGNIMT congratulated the students for putting up a great show.
Director Kuldip Singh and Principal Dr. P. S Khattra were also present on the occasion.
