Jalandhar, September 10, 2013: The meeting of the executive body of Private Colleges Non-Teaching Employees Union Punjab and Chandigarh was held at Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib on Saturday.
State Persident Madan Lal Khullar told that the union has raised their long pending demands so many times before the state government. The various issues were discussed in the meeting. The main were Arrears w.e.f. January 1, 2006, implementation of Grade Pay w.e.f. December 1, 2011 and lifting of ban from the posts of aided colleges. On the basis of the pay parity the government has implemented the 5th pay commission to the said staff. But the government has not released the arrears to the Non-Teaching staff as yet even the Govt. employees took the 70% of the arrear amount from the government. Besides this, 100% grant of the arrears for the Teaching Staff of these aided colleges has been released by the state government. Khullar emphasised for lifting the ban from recruitment, implementation of 4:9:14 step up increment, Service Security Act, CCA, Rural Allowance to the aided colleges of the state.
Rajiv Sharma, General Secretary, PCNTEU stated that the Guru Nanak Dev University has also not fulfilled their genuine demands. He stressed to fulfill these demands i.e. implementation of earned leave and leave encashment, representative of Non Teaching Staff in Local Committee, 5 special casual leave to centre body representatives, increase in honorarium for practical duties of Lab Staff etc. It has been decided that a programme for agitation was chalked out and it will be communicated to all the Units of Non-Teaching Employees of Private Aided Colleges.

Barnala President Manoj Pandey, Anil Sharma, Ludhiana, Shamsher Singh, Patiala were also present.
