Jalandhar, September 10, 2013: KMV PG Department of Hindi organised today an extension lecture on Hindi: from National & International Language.
Dr. Sudha Jitendra, Head Dept. of Hindi from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar was present as a subject expert for the occasion. She is an expert on the scientific aspect of language study and teaching and has a fresh approach and deep insight about both Hindi language and literature. D
uring her discourse on Hindi from National & International language Dr. Sudha elaborated upon the journey of Hindi, its relevance as national language. She added that in the era of commercialization Hindi was emerging as a strong medium of International Communication hence also as an International language. She presented all the aspects covered in her lecture an interesting way to the young scholars. The students present for the discourse shared their views about the relevance of Hindi in the present social scenario and also asked questions about job opportunities for Hindi scholars. They also raised many questions regarding the discourse.
It is northworthy that to celebrate ‘Hindi-Day’ many competitions like poetry writing, story writing, essay writing, short-play writing, slogan writing etc. are being organised during the month of September. This lecture holds special relevance in these series of events organised to celebrate Hindi-Day.
