Ludhiana, February 18, 2013: Tapping into the culture of body fitness by worshipping Lord Surya on the occasion of Surya Rath Saptami, billions of students performed Surya Namaskar throughout the country.
Thousands of students and the staff of all branches of BVM participated in the same. Chanting of Surya Dhyan Mantra, meditating and exercising transformed the bodies to a powerful tool for spiritual enlightenment. Indian yogic culture has the real powers of gravitating all the other cultures towards it. Marking the significance of the greatest deeds of great persons a real tribute was paid to national saint, intellectual frontier of India Swami Vivekanand on his 150th Birth Anniversary.
Satish (Seh Prant Pracharak of RSS) recommended regular practice of Surya Namaskar to students by taking it as an extremely powerful energy raiser, profoundly affecting pranic energy with positive effects on mind as well as body.
M.M. Vyas from BVM management appreciated students for their discipline, patience and intelligence.
Motivating the students, the Principal Santosh Mehra said that regular practitioners will see dramatic improvement in their health, energy and will power and will also feel themselves detached from the niggling worries of day-today life.
A total 5,230 students, including 2,832 boys and 2,228 girls participated in the event, and 170 teachers.
