Jalandhar News- Aaghaz 2013 a fiesta for Freshers celebrated at CT Group of Institutions

Jalandhar, September 14, 2013: CT Institute of Engineering Management & Technology, CT Institute of Technology, CT Institute of Hotel Management  & catering  Technology organised one day function to celebrate the commencement of the new session.

Freshers’ party is the moment when the senior batch students whole heartedly and joyfully welcome their junior batch. Such a fun, frolic and rejuvenated moment mark the start of the academic session in CT Group of Institutions wherein the management of CT Group of institutions and the senior batch of B Tech joined hands to throw a ceremonial welcome bash to new comers, who joined as freshers’. The program organized by CTIEMT, CTIHM & CTIT was attended by new students, their seniors, faculty members and members from the higher management.

The program started with lighting the ceremonial lamp by Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman CT Group of Institutions, accompanied by Parminder Kaur, Co-chairperson of CT Group, Manbir Singh, Managing Director, Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Group Director and other high officials. Punjabi Singer Jassi gill, Prabh gill,& Babble Rai graced the Function and  gave a fun frolic hue to the programme.

Dr. Manoj Kumar Group Director CT Institutions encouraged the students to study hard and learn the most during the course of their studies & said, “After entering a professional course, most crucial period of a student’s life begins. It is necessary that this life should be disciplined so as to pave way for a bright student.”

Starting with the formal recitation of hymns, the program took a more informal course with fun games being played, that were aimed at increased level of acquaintance and amicability between the guests and the hosts.  There were lots of cultural items that were displayed by the seniors to entertain the new comers. The new students also took active part in the program by showcasing their talent in the diverse fields. There were the cultural items ranging from folk dances, classical dances, Giddha, Bhangra, solo items, mimickry, skit and folk songs. The wonderful display of students, both by the seniors and juniors, sent the auditorium hall go lively with whistles and claps all the way through.

The event, which casted its great spell on one and all, was modeling competition by the students, in which the boys and the girls participated with a sense of ecstasy and satisfaction by performing catwalk on the ramp. The students clothed in the western attire, lehnga, Punjabi & Kashmiri costumes, thrilled the ramp & resembled the Bollywood stars with their sterling performance.  Mr. and Miss Fresher were won Preeti Bains and Rajinder Singh respectively.

Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman CT Group said while welcoming the new students said, “The destiny of future of the country is in the hands of the students. Today’s student is the architect of tomorrow’s India. So, I call upon all you young students to strive hard to excel in your fields as well ensure that you nurture a personality marked with high values and supreme moral ethics. Education is incomplete if it fails to address ethical dimensions necessary to build up a strong character.” The function finally concluded with a lavish lunch & a good note with which every one feeling jubilant, excited and fresh to start a long journey of good relationship between juniors and seniors.
