Jalandhar, September 17, 2013: Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya won GNDU Chess Championship jointly by defeating Govt. College Amritsar with 4-0 and GNDU Campus Amritsar with 4-0. In final, the college Chess Team scored 2-2 each with BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar.
The team members Heena, Sheena, Malika Handa and Jannat are selected for GNDU Chess team which will represent in All India Inter University Chess Championship.
Principal Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj congratulated the students, staff and coach of the team for this achievement.
On this occasion, Sudarshan Kang, Harmeet Kaur of Sports Department and team coach were present.
