Jalandhar News- Seminar on Global Megatrends at St. Soldier Group of Institutions

A Seminar on Global Megatrends being organised by the St. Soldier Group of Institutions, Jalandhar for its new students who took admission in the session 2013-2014 from Engineering, Management, Polytechnic, Pharmacy, and Law Students.

Jalandhar, September 18, 2013: A Seminar on Global Megatrends was organised by the St. Soldier Group of Institutions for its new students who took admission in the session 2013-2014 from Engineering, Management, Polytechnic, Pharmacy, and Law Students. 

Deepak Vohra who is India’s senior most serving Ambassador, who served in more than twelve countries, presently is Advisor to South Sudan and have been honoured by Order of the Two Niles (first class), the nation’s highest civilian honour by President of Sudan, give a insight on Global Megatrends to the audience. Seminar commenced by lighting ceremony by Chairman Sh. Anil Chopra, Managing Director Prof. Manhar Arora, Ambassador Deepak Vohra. In his welcome speech Prof. Manhar Arora told that as the world is becoming one global village, there is a need to understand the global trends, so that our students can get the latest, improved and updated education and prepare themselves for the challenges. 

Ambassador Deepak Vohra said “India’s phenomenal growth in all the sectors has brought challenges and opportunities both. Students must understand these trends so that can compete effectively in every sphere.  Students have a great role to play in the further improvement of uplifting standards of working environment so that they can become the contributor for their nations rather than the liabilities as unemployed. Technology is playing a vital role and this will continue in the future. Time has come when we all have to learn the tools and technologies that enhance the learning methodologies.  Class rooms should be a knowledge places rather than the teaching places. He further added that students from Africa have come to study in St. Soldier Group of Institutions and that shows the graceful growth of St. Soldier Group of Institutions.

Chairman Anil Chopra in his thanks speech told that St. Soldier Group of Institutions has always taken initiative to give better and affordable education to the masses. We are sure that words of wisdom by Ambassador Deepak Vohra has encouraged out students and given a new direction to them for future.  Present at the occasion were Dr. SPS Mehtiana, Dr. Amarpal, Dr. HS Payal, Dr. RK Pushkarna and distinguished personalities.
