The Department of English of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organising a Picture Captioning Contest on Friday.

Jalandhar, September 20, 2013: The Department of English of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised a Picture Captioning Contest on Friday in which 80 students participated.
The students were shown five pictures which they were supposed to caption in less than 10 words per caption. The competition tested the creativity and ingenuity of the students. The pictures were thought provoking and tested the sensitivity of the students on issues of deforestation, water pollution and cruelty against animals.
The judges for the competition were Dr Sunit Kaur, Amarjit Kaur, Dr. Navjot S. Deol and R.K.Sharma.
Dr. Sucharita gave the first prize to Kartik Khosla, second to Ayush Garg , third to Vivek Nayyar and consolation to Apoorva Sharma. She appreciated the effort of the dept in coming up with such an innovative idea to help give wings to the students’ imagination. She congratulated the event organiser Assistant Prof. Ramandeep Singh on successfully conducting the programme.
