A workshop on the topic “Prospects of Drug Designing and Analytical QSAR Studies” was organised by Department of Bioinformatics of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. Many students from HMV, BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, Doaba College participated eagerly in the workshop. Resourcepersons from ADI Biosolutions Chandigarh. Dr. Ritu, Meenu & Shaifali conducted the workshop in which various methods for designing drugs for various diseases were discussed. The students were given hands on training using QSAR techniques and also the students learnt the procedure of designing new drugs for diseases like cancer, AIDS, Dengue etc. Students participated enthusiastically and asked many queries. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj encouraged the students to participate in research activities and march forward with a positive approach. Dr. Meena Sharma, Harpreet Singh, Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dr. Mani Sharma, Dr. Nitika, Dr. Shallu, Dr. Jatinder, Sumit Sharma, Shailendra, Rajbir, Devika were also present on this occasion.
