Jalandhar, January 21, 2014: The Corporate Relations Cell of Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus organised a guest lecture on 'Marketing Orientation, Strategy and Research' for the students of MBA. The resource person for the lecture was Dr Jatinderjit Singh, Assistant Professor of Marketing at ESADE Business School Barcelona.
Dr Jatinderjit Singh is himself an alumni of Apeejay Institute of Management who completed his MBA from the institution in 2001 and then got selected for PhD in Research & Marketing in an eminent American University.
Dr. Singh started his lecture with a hilarious cartoon strip to demonstrate the fundamental concepts related to the field of marketing. He quoted renowned theoreticians like Peter F Drucker to explain the basics in the field and elucidated concepts like Marketing Orientation, Dimensions of Marketing. It was a very practical and interactive session as the worthy resource person tried to provide the students with a practical insight which would complement their theoretical knowledge. He also said that the field of marketing research aims at fostering analytical thinking. He substantiated his talk with many real case-studies.
