Jalandhar, January 21, 2014: The PG Department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organised a one day workshop on ‘Academic Writing & Publishing in Quality Journals’ for researchers and scholars. The resource person of the workshop was Dr Harminder Singh, Associate Prof (Finance) at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia.
Head of Commerce Department Dr. Kanwaldeep Kaur welcomed the guests. HoD Dr. Shr said that the changing world requires much more than just class room teaching. A good academic has to be a good researcher along with a great class room teacher. The main objective of this workshop is to equip the participants with the skills, and tools to think, formulate, write and publish in leading high quality scholarly journals. Resource person Dr. Harminder Singh discussed about choosing the area of research. Finalizing the topic for Ph.d., Techniques of writing and abstract How to select a Journal, ethics in publishing, communicating the results and handelling rejections.
