Jalandhar, January 27, 2014: Love for the nation is rooted in the inception of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya whose students presented the National Flag to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru even before Independence. To celebrate Republic Day is an annual features since 1950. The 65th Republic Day was also celebrated with unabated National fervor and passion. Flag hoisting and singing of national anthem Vande Matram marked the occasion. Thereafter the Music Department regaled the audience with patriotic songs.
Principal Dr. Atima Sharma addressed the students of the hostel and wished that every successive Republic Day may bring more prosperity and world-wide respect to the nation. She stressed that 38% technocrats and doctors in the world were Indians and that India had every reason to be proud of its contribution to the prosperity and growth world-wide. She congratulated NCC-Cdts of the colleges for not only performing parade in the college but also commanding the district level parade.
