aDAVitya 2014, the three day Technical Festival of DAVIET, Jalandhar concludes on Saturday evening.
jalandhar, March 8, 2014: aDAVitya 2014, the three day Technical Festival of DAVIET concluded with pomp and show this evening. Rajinder Nath, Vice President, DAV College Managing Committee was the chief guest at the valedictory function. Kundan Lal Aggarwal, Sanjay Gupta, S. K Sehdev, members of Local Managing Committee, Dr A. L Sangal, principal, Faculty and students of DAVIET were among those who attended the event.
Dr Sanjeev Naval, Head of Civil Department and Chairman aDAVitya 2014 apprised the audience about the previous two days of the event. He said that the technical festival comprised of a total of 241 events spread across various disciplines prominent among them being Mock United Nations, Quiz Competition, Walk of Thinkers, Paper presentation and project display. He said that event had participants from reputed colleges like NIT Jalandhar, GNDU and ACET Amritsar apart from DAVIET.
Rajinder Nath, Vice-President DAVCMC in his address to students said that human beings are blessed with the ability to think logically by the almighty God and he called upon students to use this ability to scale newer heights in their career. He said that power of logic is above all and we should use it to support the knowledge we get from education.
Dr. A. L. Sangal, Principal presented the vote of thanks and expressed his pleasure at the manner the event was conducted. He said that the event was planned to un-earth the hidden talent of the students and to make them technically sound. He congratulated the organising team for successful conduct of the mega extravaganza.
The valedictory function comprised of Walk of Thinkers where students portrayed characters of legends like Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sardar Udham Singh, Rani Laxmi Bai, Florence Nightingale and several others. The Bhangra, Dance and mimicry events were also organised at the valedictory function organized to honour the winners of various events. First position holders of some of the events are as follows: Paper Presentation – Pulkit Jain; Quiz – DAVIET Team comprising of Aviral, Pranavat and Karanvir; Mock Law-suite – Sarvesh Sani of 4TH SEM Electrical Engg.; Rangoli World – Aarushi Gupta and Vivek Vij of ME 2nd Sem; Business Baazigar – Shruti Sood, Tarun Kumar and Amanjot Arora.
