Jalandhar, May 10, 2014: Hundred years of Mother's Day which is on Sunday is celebrated today here in Cambridge International School for Girls with great enthusiasm.

Girls of Grade 1, 2 and 3 made greeting cards and photo frames for their mothers to make their day a special one. Girls from fifth grade onwards expressed their feeling on a postcard. They wrote letters to their mother expressing their love and most importantly saluting them for their non-stop daily show. They stressed the greatness of mothers. Postcards were posted in the later half of the school. The only word expressed by the girls for their mother was "Love" which captured everything.

In kindergarten the day was celebrated to honour mothers’ and motherhood. Little girls of kindergarten presented a show to express their love towards their mother. Programme began with a role play dedicated to the life of a mother. Mothers were invited in the classroom of their children. Game 'Chit Chat' was played between both of them. They shared tiffins and as a remembrance of the day hand print of Mother and daughter were taken to be laminated further. Children also made greeting cards for their mothers. Excitement was seen clearly on the faces of girls after seeing their mothers sitting with them in the classroom.

Coordinator of kindergarten Tanu Oberoi said that this day is celebrated for the unconditional love of mothers and their influence in society. We salute her with all our heart. Mothers are our guiding force and are responsible for making us who we are? Coordinators of senior sections were also present there.
