School Council Elections held in Cambridge International School

School Council Elections being held in Cambridge International School for girls at Jalandhar on Friday.

Jalandhar, May 16, 2014: School Council Elections are being held in Cambridge International School for girls. Verdict was given today in the school assembly.

Haramrit, Simran, Shreya and Yashuti were declared the winners as head girl, vice head girl, sports captain and vice sports captain respectively. Whereas Bhanvi and Arshia, Asawari and Khayti, Smiti and Gargi, Shivranjini and Shaina were declared house captain of Amber, emerald, amethyst and sapphire house, respectively. Arpita, Shaja, Saanvi, Sabbrina, Nanki Komal, Siya, Twinkle, Siya, Rhythm, Donny, Prisha, Harshita, Rija, Siya, Priyanka, Navya, Kriti, Sargun and jasmine were declared prefects of different houses.
Councillors belong to various committees, they also attend monthly council meetings and represent the school at many functions.
Students were nominated from grade five onwards. Students not only were thrilled in voting for their favourite candidates but were very supportive in cheering the young winners.
Vice principal Preeti Sharma congratulated the winners and thanked all the young voters for electing the deserving candidates.
