Computer Forensic Lab inaugurated at KMV

Jalandhar, June 2, 2014: A well equipped and latest Computer Forensics Lab was inaugurated in the PG Dept.of Computer Science & Appls.of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya catering to the needs and requirements M.Sc.IANS and various other courses.  
This lab was inaugurated by Principal Prof. Atima Sharma.  Computer forensics is a branch of digital forensic science pertaining to legal evidence found in computers and digital storage media.
On this occasion Prof. Atima Sharma averred that the goal of computer forensics is to examine digital media in a forensically sound manner with the aim of identifying, preserving, recovering, analyzing and presenting facts and opinions about the digital information. She also congratulated the Head, P.G. Department of Computer Science & Applications, Suman Khurana and faculty for this achievement of the department.
