KMV, Jalandhar organising an extension lecture on Budget 2014.
Jalandhar, August 8, 2014: P.G Department of Commerce and Business Administration of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organised an Extension Lecture on ‘Budget 2014’. The resource person was Dr.Ashwani Kumar Gupta, a practicing Chartered Accountant in Jalandhar.
In this lecture Dr. Gupta acquainted the students with the intricacies of the Budget 2014 and highlighted various aspects of the budget like grant for women and weaker sections of the society with the basic intent of promoting entrepreneurial skills amongst the students. He also explained various concepts related to revenue, capital receipts, expenditures on the financial help being offered by the government through various schemes like Ajivika, Subsidised loans, One Bandhu Kalyan Yojana, Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao Yojana etc. in the Budget and suggested the ways to avail this support.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma expressed her gratitude to the erudite of the Department of Commerce, headed by Poonam Gupta.
