Faculty of Sciences, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, organising a visit to Science Express at Jalandhar railway station.
Jalandhar, April 20, 2013: Faculty of Sciences, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, a pioneer institution of Northern India dedicated to woman empowerment organised a visit to Science Express at Jalandhar railway station.
The main objective was to create awareness about the importance of Biodiversity, extinction of flora and fauna in young minds and the role they can play to save it from further degradation.
Students of KMV and KMV Collegiate Senior Secondary School visited to Science Express and gained valuable information on different aspects of biodiversity like-in-situ and an situ conservation project tiger, elephant and livestock and livelihood of people of North-Eastern region, western region, Indian deserts and semi aid zones.
Students interacted with the coaches and guides available in Science Express and satisfied their quests regarding biodiversity. This visit changed the perspective of all the students towards the environment and biodiversity and vowed to protect biodiversity from further degradation and this will surely go a long way in keeping environment green and healthy.
