Ludhiana, July 23, 2013: The students of Khalsa College For Women, Ludhiana have once again proved their mettle by scoring top positions in M.Sc (Information Technology) II year examinations, results of which were declared by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Five students of the college have placed their names in top ten university positions. Ranika Garg has bagged 1st position in the University by scoring 89.30 per cent marks and her twin sister Manika Garg stood 2nd in the university by scoring 88.7 per cent marks. Neha Malhan clinched 6th position in the Panjab University by scoring 86.6 per cent marks. Paramjit Kaur bagged 7th position in the university by scoring 86.3 per cent marks. Sakshi Dey bagged 9th position by scoring 85.5 per cent marks. Out of the 30 students who had appeared for the examination, 23 students have secured more than 70% marks
Ranika Garg who has topped the university said that hard work of her faculty members coupled with blessings provided by her parents and the college Principal Dr. Varinder Kaur Thind have played an important role in her success. She owes her success to her twin sister Manika Garg, who too has stood second in the university. Elated Ranika and Manika said “Although there was a spirit of competition between us, yet both motivated and encouraged each other.”
Pritpal Singh Grewal, President and Dr. S.S Grewal, Vice President, managing committee congratulated the Principal, Dr. Varinder Kaur Thind and the staff of Computer Science Department for their sincere efforts in generating excellent results. They applauded the students for maintaining the tradition of the college in clinching top university positions and also wished them luck to continue to scale greater heights in life.
