Jalandhar, August 14, 2013: CT Group of Institutions Jalandhar celebrated the 66th Independence Day in the premises of its institutions and school to mark India’s Independence from the clutches of the British who ruled over our motherland for 200 years after inflicting great atrocities on the Indians.

Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He was given a wonderful floral shower and a bouquet accompanied with the invigorating tune of the bagpipers. The program began with a patriotic group song sung by the primary students. The flag hoisting ceremony took place with the sound of the bugles ringing in the air.

A beautiful Nukkad Natak or street play was performed by the students imparting the message to the world that the Earth is on the verge of extinction as man who is considered the most dangerous animal on earth is gnawing at the very vitals of the earth because of his ruthless attitude towards nature, animals, birds, girls and even moral values and culture. He considers his supremacy over all the other creatures and forgets that he shares this planet with them.  This street play came in the form of a competition among the four houses of the school. The students performed the Nukkad Natak with great devotion and vibrancies and were successful in conveying the message of love for the fellow creatures and saving the planet from extinction. The students pledged that they would perform their duty to safeguard their planet for the future generation.  It was a tough competition as all the participants rendered their role in a very expressive and wonderful manner. Kindergarten and primary students sang patriotic song with great dedication and a colourful folk dance was also presented.

After all the presentations, the Chief Guest Charanjit Singh Channi CT Group of Institutions in his Presidential address, applauded the participants for their exuberant performance and exhorted the students to move on the path of righteousness and not let the struggle of the freedom fighters go waste.

Principal, Ranjana Rajput presented the vote of thanks and appreciated the wonderful performance and earnest efforts made by the students and teachers. In the end the National Anthem was sung with great fervour and devotion and sweets were distributed to the children.
