GGNIMT, Ludhiana organising a seminar on “SAP and its numerous Career Opportunities” for the BCA and MCA students on Tuesday.
Ludhiana, September 10, 2013: Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines organised a seminar on “SAP and its numerous Career Opportunities” for the BCA and MCA students here today.
Shalini , Former Assistant Executive, Oswal Woolen Mills Ltd, Ludhiana was the resource person for the day. Shalini explained SAP as an ERP Package consisting of several modules, including utilities for marketing and sales, field service, product design and development, production and inventory control, human resources, finance and accounting. She further elucidated that SAP ERP collected and combined data from the separate modules to provide the company or organisation with enterprise resource planning. Highlighting the magnitude of SAP success, Shalini shared that out of Fortune 500 Companies, 450 had already converted to SAP leading to enormous highly paying employment opportunities.
Enlisting the massive benefits of SAP, Shalini informed that the technology delivered a comprehensive set of integrated, cross functional business process at reduced cost and improved productivity.
Addressing the career dimension, Shalini informed the students that SAP ERP consisted of Development, Quality Assurance and Production Environment where the students could be trained for their specific requirements. She also mentioned the prospective job hierarchies and the respective pay scales attached to this booming technology.
The students participated enthusiastically in the interactive session and cleared all their doubts.
Satinderjit Singh, Head, Computer Applications Dept summed up the entire session and motivated the students to keep themselves conversant with the latest technology.
