Maple Bear Canadian Playway & Nursery School, Udham Singh Nagar, Ludhiana celebrates Raksha Bandhan on Tuesday.
Ludhiana, August 20, 2013: Maple Bear Canadian Playway & Nursery School, Udham Singh Nagar, Ludhiana celebrated the auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan with great enthusiasm and gaiety.
Rakhi is celebrated in a unique way. The theme of the function was “Unity in Diversity” as kids were dressed in traditional attires of different religions like Hindu, Sikh, Muslim and Christian. They tied Rakhi to their classmates depicting all religions give the message of love and affection to their relations. Kids made beautiful Rakhi from flowers, butterflies, beads, threads and stones. They also decorated Thalis for Puja. This inculcates the creative art in the kids.
Principal of the school Veena Aggarwal explained the significance of Rakhi to the kids and how it strengthens the affectionate relationship, love among brothers and sisters. It has always been endeavor of Maple Bear School to celebrate the Indian festivals in traditional spirit and giving a message to the society at large.
