Ludhiana, August 24, 2013: Warm welcome was accorded to the B.Com I and M.Com I students by their seniors at Khalsa College for Women (KCW) here today.
Principal Dr. Varinder Kaur Thind graced the occasion. The festivities included Bhangra, Bollywood Mix, Contemporary Jazz and medley of Madhuri Dixit songs.
The freshers walked the ramp with élan in beautiful gowns, sarees and suits. Judges of the evening were Baljinder Kaur, Narinder Kaur and Parminder Kaur.
Anshana was adjudged Ms. Fresher, Ankita as 1st runners up and Himanshi was adjudged as 2nd runners up in B.Com and Mallika was declared Ms. Fresher M.Com. The juniors thanked their seniors and teachers for such a memorable welcome.
The function brought into light the hues of womanhood from beauty to brains. At the end Principal of the college gave her blessings for the new session and emphasised on the girls to learn the techniques of self defense to protect themselves from anti social elements.
